Dear all,
Before my Christmas wishes I would like to thank you all for your support to EFSMA.
It was a good year for EFSMA, and we should feel proud of what we achieved all together and of course with collaboration with FIMS teams.
Other than the great number of papers published in collaboration with FIMS and the head of the FIMS Scientific Committee, Prof Pitsiladis and the FIMS President Professor Pigozzi, which you have seen already via FIMS e- circular below you will find at a glance only some of our activities during 2021.
In April 2021:
We have supported the Sports Medicine and Health summit and we participated actively and signed ‘The Hamburg Declaration for Global Alliance for the Promotion of Physical Activity’
EFSMA signed the Hamburg Declaration for Global Alliance for Promotion of Physical Activity along with more 50 organisations from around the world

In July 2021 we have had our very first webinar on Intentional Injuries in Sport, co-hosted with the Sports Equity Lab and endorsed by BASEM. Our webinar achieved 1200 registrations and we left our stamp in a very sensitive topic as it is abuse in sport where support for athletes much needed

November 2021: Active participation in 9th Medica Medicine and Sport
December 2021: Our President achieved a great sponsorship of 10000 Euro from Angelini Pharma
To support this, EFSMA invited all its Associates to participate to an important international survey entitled "Relevance of Heat Therapy in the Clinical Practice for the Treatment of Musculoskeletal (MSK) Pain".
The survey, promoted by Angelini Pharma S.p.A. with the guidance of an international Scientific Board, aims to collect European-wide feedback from an interdisciplinary group of experts (Sports Medicine, Physiotherapy, Orthopaedics, Physiotherapy, General Medicine, Pharmacy) on the importance of heat therapy in clinical practice for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain.
We have contacted all our members to participate on this

During the year
We are constantly updating our contacts regarding our 41 national sport medicine associations across Europe, and we now have closer communication with more national associations and providing support to them and vice versa.
In December 2021 we have created the most recent spreadsheet for EFSMA
Social Media: Twitter and Facebook. Everyday activities via social platforms. We have achieved approximately 1000 Followers on Facebook and 731 on twitter. There are thousands of impressions on the statistics.
We have supported all of the National Association conferences that they asked for support and not only (Supported with lectures, via social media messaging and promotion of their conferences with any possible way)
All the above were widely spread via our social media, and people all over the world have used the related recommendations.
